The role will be responsible for assisting with various accounting & reporting functions, reporting to the Senior Controller. Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Financial reporting – preparation of monthly financial statement with a perspective for improvement and automation, where appropriate
- Perform month-end close activities such as review of timing of financial statement activity, monitoring all balance sheet accounts to ensure understanding of account changes, perform account reconciliations in support of Balance Sheet position, and oversight that data/activity align with proper accounting treatment
- Management of reporting provided by various sources in support of key metric reported to senior management, external business partners, bank partners, auditors and other authorities on timely basis
- Assist with data analytics related to our large volume of customers, their clients, and various users of our internally developed CRM tool
- Assist with oversight of financial reporting to assess integrity of large data environment with hundreds of thousands of customer account balances and large cash movement activity
- Assist with improving financial forecast and analytic support files to monitor delivery of committed results provided to senior management and private equity partner
- Lead with ad-hoc development of dashboards and data models utilizing data warehouse tools to better analyze and present monthly results
- Act as a key contributor and assist with the research, selection and implementation of integrated accounting systems, state-of-the-art cash management technology and other expense tracking and reporting tools
- Perform daily duties in line with FORTH’s Information Security Policies and Procedures
- Ensure that information Confidentiality, Integrity and Privacy is always maintained with processing information assets
Qualifications and Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, required
- 3–5+ years of experience in financial systems, finance, or accounting roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statement generation, and managing integrity of data
- Experience with implementations of ERP or financial platforms (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Intacct, etc.)
- Experience working with data warehouse tools utilizing Snowflake, Sigma, Power BI or similar analytical tools
- Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, preferred
- Knowledge/ experience converting manual to automated processes using AI (Claude, Gemini, etc), preferred
- Large volume cash management exposure from working within banking or POS industries with an understanding of technology to assist in tracking and reporting financial activity, preferred
